Welcome to Sainsbury's Local, your go-to supermarket nestled in the heart of Lincoln at 18A Carholme Rd, LN1 1RR. This local gem operates with the principles of convenience and quality at its core, making it an ideal stop for all your grocery needs, whether you're stocking up your pantry or just need a quick snack.

Sainsbury's Local is particularly known for its decent selection of food. From fresh produce to ready-made meals, the supermarket aims to capture the essence of everyday shopping with ease. Customers have often praised the quality of the food; however, a common observation is that some vegetables tend to run low by midday, so be sure to visit early if you're seeking the freshest picks.

The store's late closing hours allow for spontaneous trips, perfect for when you find yourself craving a midnight snack or a last-minute bottle of milk. One customer, David Smith, expressed appreciation for the convenience, stating, “Late closing so you can pop out on a whim if you fancy a snack or bottle of milk.”

However, it's worth noting that not every experience is seamless. Customers have expressed frustrations regarding the self-service tills. Jrover620ti ti shared a feeling of dissatisfaction, mentioning that the younger staff can be more focused on their personal conversations rather than assisting customers awaiting help at the tills. Improvements in customer service could enhance the shopping experience significantly.

For a local store, Sainsbury's Local is well-equipped for quick food options on the go. Although Patrick Fryer found it challenging to locate sandwiches and snacks, a little organization could elevate the shopping experience. Perhaps a dedicated shelf for these popular items would streamline the hunt for a quick meal.

On a rather unexpected note, Mick Bellamy humorously shared that he witnessed not one, but two robberies during his visit, adding an element of 'real-life entertainment' that you won’t find in a typical supermarket! While this is certainly a rare occurrence, it certainly paints a picture of the lively atmosphere at Sainsbury's Local.

In conclusion, Sainsbury's Local stands out for its convenience, variety, and unique local charm. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in customer service and product organization, the warm and friendly staff can make your visit memorable. So whether you need to grab groceries for the week or a snack on the go, stop by Sainsbury's Local—you might just find more than you were looking for!

Decent selection of food. Some of the vegetables tend to run out if you don't shop in the first half of the day. Late closing so you can pop out on a whim if you fancy a snack or bottle of milk. The self-service tills are terrible - they stop working if you even slightly re-arrange your carrier bag on the scale when putting food in. Fortunately, the staff are super friendly so I prefer going to the cash register instead.

For a local store, its ideal for quick food on the go however, I spent 30 minutes trying to locate sandwiches, pie&pasties Etc. Why not put one chiller shelf with these items in one place and at eye level.

Apart from it being reasonable food store, it gets a 4 from me for entertainment value. While I was in there it was actually robbed twice, with people just coming in, then running out with whatever they could carry ! The second time was while the staff were outside looking where the first person had gone. I can't see how they can make any profit if this happens all day long.

Not a bad little shop. However the staff sometimes do let it down. The younger staff are more interested in walking about at the back of the store chatting on their headsets about whatever they got up to last night whilst people wait patiently at the self service tills to be attended to!!!!!! Edit as of 21/08/23 the prices have gone through the roof at this place. Examples, four pack of macaines frozen jacket potato's £4.55 from here or go to the local corner shop 12 doors away and the same product is £3.69. Theres loads more that are just far to expensive at this shop compared to local corner shops and the tesco express around the corner. Save money go elsewhere
